DATA PROTECTION – a conference on a current issue

Netland Computers participated as an expert at the DATA PROTECTION – Solutions and Responsibilities conference, which took place on February 23, 2018 at University of Oil and Gas in Ploiesti.

The conference came to support the attending companies and organizations to clarify a number of issues covered by the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which will enter into force on 25 May 2018. The regulation requires companies to protect their personal data, giving individuals wider rights over how they are processed.

Netland’s presentation was called “GDPR, Personalized Technology and Concrete Solutions” and approached aspects of organizational compliance, in terms of information and communication technology, to the new regulation.

The focus was on solutions offered by Microsoft on the four proposed areas: identification, management, protection and reporting of personal data held and used by any organization.

The debates around the discussed issues highlighted the fact that the GDPR compliance path is useful and necessary for companies but also achievable, along with partners with experience in the field of legislation, internal organization and technology. And as far as this last aspect is concerned, Netland Computers can provide customized solutions adapted to the financial resources that can be allocated and to the specificity of each company, to properly address the GDPR compliance process.
